This topic has probably been done before. Most definitely been done before. But I don't give a fuck.

What is the SeC's favorite beer?

I've been running out of choices at the store I buy it from and I'm down to get some suggestions.

Tonight I'm drinking on some Lion Stout, an import from Sri Lanka, which taste kinda like dark chocolate, really smooth for an 8.8 beer. And some Insanity which is a barley-wine that takes like candy(mostly licorice) laced with moonshine(11.1 ABV). I imagine I will be insane by the time I finish it.

I like beer because no matter how high quality it is it doesn't get nearly as expensive as other alcohol products like wine and liquor.

Guinness Extra Stout. A man's beer.

My finger seriously itches... driving me crazy.

I don't really drink much, but Black N Tan is nice.

Never had the Guinness Extra Stout, only regular Guinness. Which I'm not a big fan of because it's pretty light and flavorless for a stout.

Black and tan's are quite tasty. Only had two different kinds, Yuengling and Saranac and I enjoyed both of them. Which reminds me that I heard Ohio is finally gonna get Yuengling which makes me happy.

EDIT: As I'm drinking more of this Insanity stuff I'd say it is definitely in my top 5 and the best barleywine style beer I have ever had. Holy fuck this shit is good. Expensive though at $15 a 4 pack.

I'm lazy so I get Milwaukee cans. 12 bucks for a 6 pack of cans (between tall boys and regular cans).

$12 for 6 Old Milwaukee pounders(I'm guessing that's what you mean)? Seems a little steep for that beer, I thought they had 12 packs for like $8.

A good transition into craft beer is Saranac. They sell variety packs for like $12-13 a 12 pack and they have stouts, IPAs, black and tans, red ale, black ale and some more fun stuff.

But I warn you, once you go craft you never go back. Well not really, I still enjoy a good adjunct lager every once and a while especially in the heat. I like me some Miller Highlife occasionally.

I'm going to have to look at this tomorrow and post some beer for you to drink. I drank too much tonight. My favorite beer though would have to be Yuengling Lager. It's brewed in PA and it's amazing!

I highly doubt we have any of those around here but I'll look for them.

Only British brews that I know of around here are Old Engine Oil by Harviestoun which is one of the best god damn beers on the planet, and then the Smuttynose beers which are good.

Well you should be drinking good Canadian beer than not poopy Milwaukee beer. Not sure how close you are to Quebec but Unibroue has some of the best beer I've ever had, they make Terrible which is one of my favorites.

I used to do that. But then I decided to chill out a bit and just enjoy having a couple.

Does anyone out there get Cooper's Cave ale? It's locally brewed around here (the brewery is literally 10 minutes from my house) and they make some good shit.

I really can't get into beer at all. It looks amazing in a glass and it's cheap, but it tastes horrible imo. I love me some rum, whiskey, vodka, brandy, or tequila but I pass on beer. It tastes like someone pissed in a jar of almonds

"The Beer Store" carries Unibroue. May haveta check it oot.
