Secret Santa?

Even though it is close to Christmas I thought maybe we could do a secret santa event. I know this could be kinda difficult because of the fact that most of you play on xbox and it does not offer gifting options but I am sure that most of you have a computer to play some indie games and maybe would enjoy something like a giftcard. Rules I was thinking of were that the gift can be at most $10 (a little leeway is allowed) and that you must give something to get something.

I've done something like this at another site. boardgamegeek.com. They do a secret santa and it workls out pretty well. hundreds of people participate and its global.

I would likely sign up, but I would say at this point it would be a little close for anyone to receive a gift.

Giftcards would be fine I guess but it would almost be like exchanging money. Definitly something we should keep in mind for next year and start a little earlier.

This would be a lot of fun, shame christmas is in 3 days though :/

I like the idea Tom. The timing isn't great, but we definetly need to get something going next year that is a little more organized.

I'm leaving for a family roadtrip in about 4 hours, so I'm probably going to be Steam/internet less for a while. Had it been a bit sooner, I would totally participate. And if we do this next year, I'm more than in. We did a secret santa with school friends, Peavs gave me a Rick Astley cd

Yah it would probably be way to impersonal if done right now since there is so little time left. I guess I was just taking into account things like steam. This is something I really hope we do next year though.

It's a great idea Tom. And hopefully we remember it early enough next year and we can get something going.

And what could possibly make you detest Christmas?! Its the most awesome american holiday ever! Its pretty much totally secular and materialistic, I just love it.

Pretty sure Christmas isn't just an American holiday....

Just not feeling it this year. Probably due to a lack of small people to get presents for. It's much more fun to watch kids on Christmas than adults.
