I had a non smartphone (dumbphone?). I would pay for a new android phone or something but it will probably take some convincing to get my parents to go for the whole data plan thing, I hate data plans. I just want it so I don't have to lug around my phone and my walkman and my PSP whenever I go anywhere.

It's either a new one or something from 2007 my dad found in the basement.

i personally love my droid 2.

most contract years im dieing for a new phone by the end of it, but i dont think im going to trade up (agian, its been two years)

though the $30 a month data plan sucks ass.

iPhone! I'm telling you, I hated them before I had one, and now I don't know how I lived without it.

you ever heard of straight talk?prepaid,runs off verizon or they have some sim card phones that run off att mostly,a few off sprint...unlimited everything for 45 a month or 1000 mins,1000 txt for 30 a month.I used to have it,was cool.

they have alot of deals on their phones,some are free on their website, straighttalk.com

they've recently gotten touch screen and "smart" phones.Some of the "dumb" phones are either free or no more than 20 bucks from their website

If I could use my PSP to text I would be all set.

I looked it up before and it seemed like alot of trouble but you could,find out the persons SMS(text) email and just email them back and forth

Not an iphone fan (although I must admit, they are very good).

Love my Android though - I have an HTC Sensation (which is a premium bit of kit) and my girlfriend has an HTC Wildfire S (which is a much cheaper, dinkier version. Little bit older too).

We're both extremely happy with them. One of the great things about Android handsets is the choice on offer, so you can find something that suits your needs/budget/tariff requirements.

In regards to phones the best ones out right now are the Galaxy Nexus and iPhone 4S. Both of these phones are power houses but if you are looking for something to replace your PSP the 4S is a much better option right now.

Anyways I got a samsung rugby.

Its pretty cool as it does everything I need it to do. Plus its waterproof, shock proof bla bla bla.

Its a solid phone lol. I always laugh to myself when I see someone with a cracked screen on their iphone. I didnt need an iphone because when I need internet, I have my laptop around. When I dont have access to the internet, I dont need it or want it.
