Just purchased RE4 off the Xbox Marketplace, just for nostalgia....and cheevos.

Oh. My. GOD. That scene in the village in the beginning of the game. After years of not playing this game, knowing the scene was there, and knowing how to avoid it. I still got fucking creeped out and yelled out "OH FUCK NO!" When I accidentally entered that building in the game and summoned Dr.Salvador.

Yes. This game is still awesome. Now I am running around the village with no pistol ammo, no health items, I used all my grenades trying to drop Salvador, and 2 shotgun rounds.

I always just ran, or did the knife/door trick.

Well I thought he only appeared if you grabbed the shotgun off the wall in that house. Not entered the house itself. So I used to avoid that house like the plague until I killed everyone.

1. Go into the small house across from the shotgun house.
2. Close the door.
3. Shoot a hole in the bottom of the door.
4. Slash at the hole with your knife

Makes it piss easy. Knife is the best weapon in the game if you know how to use it.

Hmm. Might abuse that aat some points.

Also, I do remember the knife being beastly good at points. Like against Krauser. LOL.

yea it was cool playing through it again...I have all the achievement except beating it on pro mode which I just haven't had the motivation for...

that shooting range achievement was a bitch to get

Never played this one. Heard a lot about the game when it first came out, but never checked it out. Was never really a big Resident Evil fan myself though, so it was kind of hard for me to get into any of the games.

Its still one of the best games of the gen man. And easily in my top 5

that and MGS3 and 2 were my favs on PS2 along w/San Andreas

Yeah, they also remade Code Veronica.

Veronica was a bitch >__> I got every achievement except getting S rank,and S rank in battle mode....not worth it for me
