trim the top fixed bar in gold instead of red, and maybe replace the "new topic" and "post reply" grey with gold.

where exactly were you thinking of putting it? I think a nice gold would work well with the maroon and grey, just curious as to where?

As long as it's a really muted gold, like when the ore is unrefined. Otherwise the brightness of it will clash with the color scheme.
