Outside of London, Queen Elizabeth, and the harry potter actors, I don't know anything about what goes on in the rest of the world (Well besides important things like current events, european debt crisis, italian and greek leaders leaving power, etc). But it seems like a lot of non americans are quite familiar with George Bush, Obama, Brad Pitt, individual states, and other american things.

Not very and i don't care too much to know who's haveing a kid or guy that does nothing is senator of x state.

Current events yeah, the tv is usually always on the news.

I listen to BBC world news on NPR a lot in the mornings, so I usually know whats going on in current world affairs. Otherwise I get my convoluted info from HatVentures Very Happy

the current POTUS is Barack Hussein Obama, former senator from Illinois. He succeeded George Bush in the 2008 election, winning with I believe 52% of the total electoral vote. He is a democrat. His republican opponent was John McCain, a vietnam vet, and outspoken critic of the Bush-era tax cuts. His running mate was Sarah Palin.

I am American and I want to be as ignorant of these things as possible. Pop culture is shit. Sitcoms. Pop music. Clear channel. Reality Tv. Politicians who don't believe in anything but have studied the general population enough to understand how to get a majority of votes.
