I've decided I'm building a beastly rig come September and this looks really cool so I'll definitely join you guys.

And yeah energy weapons can suck it so TR will probably be the way I go.

Is this gonna be F2P, or do we know how much it costs? And is there any sys-req data out?

I'm actually considering this game, mostly because I miss the MMO atmosphere of WoW, but I've firmly moved to FPS.

And if I get it, I'm rolling Republic, mostly for the colours. Though I'll likely try out the others if I can.

how is the f2p gonna work with this? don't f2p games usually have a micro transaction system where you have to buy equipment or whatnot so the game actually generates a revenue?

a shit-ton of cosmetic items, like camo and skins. any actual advantage must be earned through playing the game, so that people dont pay to win.

I'm wondering if they still have it like it was in the original where your armor and abilities changed based on Battle Rank and Command Rank. Faction's armor would change every 10 levels or so in battle rank. TR armor started mostly gray with a little red, then went to black with red, and then red with black trim or something like that.


With command rank:

At CR 1: you got a permanent left shin guard, and the ability to place waypoints for your squad/platoon.

CR2: you get a right shin guard and a kind of radar ability that shows all enemies within the radius.

CR3: A left arm guard, the ability to make battle plans on your map for your squad/platoon to see, and a giant emp blast.

CR4: A right arm guard and the ability to call *drum roll* an orbital strike on command. Kills and destroys everything in a very large radius. The recharge time is like an hour though.

CR5: You have access to a commander 5, global, and continental chat channel. And you get a backpack. TR had the best one because it gave you badass shoulder pads and whatnot with it lol.

sweet I was worried I'd be gimping myself or something if I didn't shell out dough for the good stuff. And yeah having a SeC platoon would be sweet. Always nice to have some bros to roll with.
