Hmm. Well there's a glitch apparently going around that if your video card isn't that great, it will say that the server is under maintenance. It was fixed though so that it actually pops up as an error. Not sure what could be the problem.

Try calling. I got an awesome tech support dude that helped me clear up my original Planetside account issues so I could use it for PS2 and get vet status and beta access.

NDA has lifted so I will give you some thoughts. Most of the guns just feel off to me. They feel more like pea shooters. There is very little feedback when you actually kill someone, and most of your time is going to be spent walking around doing nothing. Game is also pretty ugly and quite poorly optimized. Like I said though, only played an hour and it probably gets a least a little better once you play it more/with friends.

Keep in mind this is still beta. A good portion of the special effects, textures, and animations aren't even implemented. It's nowhere near being a finished product, you shouldn't judge it as one.

Oh then yeah that would explain a lot of its issues. But my point still stands that in its current state, I do not find it all that fun. Hopefully it improves greatly over the next 6 months.
