Anyone else seen this series? I'm not much of an anime guy usually but wow... it really blew my mind. On par with Fight Club imo.

haha yeah the movie really caps it off alot better than the TV ending. The movie was actually the real intended ending but the TV stations wouldn't let them air it so they had to have that made for TV ending that just leaves you going...what the fuck was that?

Best anime ever /endtopic. And yeah, they remade the series in a few movies. I'm not sure if the third one is out yet, but it's actually very good. The visuals are great. Wasn't crazy about some minor story changes though.

I owned the entire series, but what a weak, useless ending. It's actually helped put me off of anime completely.

You need to watch the movie which is the last two episodes as the creator originally intended them to be. The TV ending is basically something they whipped up because the censor had a fit.

The movie is the true ending.
