Most long time fans hate him for being bland generic and dull for 7 years now and that he is the face of wrestling mainly becsuse 90% of his fan base are kids. He is the most poplular wrestler, is given way to many title shots, main event matches at ppvs, and other things simoly becsude he makes the wwe the most money in merch.

The rock came back last year after a 9 year haitus and basically started a rivalry with him. And for some reason began refering to him as fruity pebbles. Mainly insulting him due to his childish fan base and because of how cena refuses to change his character like most other wrestlers do. Most wrestlers chsnge theirgimmick every few.months.
Basically chsnging from a baby face (good guy) to a heel (bad guy) or vice versa. Cena has had the s ame supercena gimmick for 7-8 years now simply becsuse their afraid of losing mkney if they chsnge him. Which is why older fans hate him. And in the rocks first promo he basically insulted cena and refered to his character as a saturday cartoon character and so forth. Something wwe never let anyone esle do.

And for some reason fruity pebbles became one of his most popluar insults with the fans.
