Does anybody else like Killing Floor?

It's a pretty damn fun game, but actually has quite a bit of challenge to it that keeps you coming back to it. There are 7 classes you choose from, and you attempt to eradicate specimens (Zed, kinda like zombies, pretty much zombies) on a map of either 4, 7, or 10 waves on one of 5 difficulties (though most people just play normal), before the final boss round, which involves fighting the Patriarch. Now, he's not your everyday boss: he can run faster than you, turn invisible, has a rocket launcher that can instantly kill you and a minigun that rips you to pieces fast on the same arm, and can melee extremely hard, and juggle you between attacks with ease. In 6 man games, if you're the last on alive, you're usually screwed on any difficulty above normal (and normal is pretty difficult most of the time, depending on your class/level). I highly recommend it to anybody; the Zed all make the L4D2 special infected look like babies, especially the Fleshpound.

i find l4d/2 harder...I have been playing KF off and on for the past 2-3 years. Great game. Me and Pariah play every now and then

KF is great, love it. Favourite map has to be either onceuponatimeinmexico or West London. And my only 6-th rank class si a sharpshooter, but I'm getting up there.

Once upon a time in mexico is pretty fun, I think I played that with you a few times. West London is a great map as well, it's pretty popular. I think Biotics Lab/Manor are my favourites, but I like West London as well. Level 6 sharp is usually your fastest to 6, because of all the headshots you can grab on Wave 1, but it's a really nice one to have. You can cheese it, and just start sharp, then switch to the class you want before the game actually begins, and sell your crossbow for a free 600, though it's pretty much necessary on harder difficulties, from what I've seen.

I use onceupon for a quick level up, works for anything really.

and I actually like sharps, pistols can take down anything. I've killed FPs with nothing more than a DEagle and MK23

I still find L4D harder than KF. I have played suicidal/hell on earth... they are harder, still manageable with decent people. L4D is just frustratingly hard sometimes . I only hate Skrakes....FP I find are easier...dont know why

If you hate Skrakes, try playing Berserker; they destroy skrakes. Also, sharpshooter/support specialist are the two best classes in the game to learn on, as they are the easiest to play overall, from there, you can branch out and play other classes better.

Sharps is really easy to learn, but it's hard to get it right. Prioritization is the key, unless your aim is consistently dead-on. I find that a pairing with a commando is insane. The commando is perfect for taking out lower targets, like the crawler, stalker, clot etc. While sharps lower RoF and high damage are better for taking out scrakes and FPs.

Yeah, Sharp + Commando, or a Support + Commando in 2 man games are a very good combination, because the Sharp needs things to keep people away, and the Support has long reloads. Sharps that don't kill fleshpounds/skrakes tend to upset me very, very quickly xD I have Medic lvl 6, that took a long time, but you can tank extreme amounts of damage for team members, starting at lvl 4-5

Medics are amazing, I need to get mine up a lot.

I'll have to admit, I very rarely play generously unless I'm with friends. If I'm jhust playing with randoms, I tend to grab and mk23 and a winchester and just solo everything.

You should try the Xbow; it's fairly cheap (800) and at a higher level of Sharpshooter, it can do extreme damage to ALL specimens, and is a huge help against the Patriarch. For some reason, most players that start tend to think it'll be weak, but it is very strong, and much more worthwhile than the M99.

Oh I know, I play xbow when I have a team. I use the xbox + mk23 + revolver when I actually wanna play for the team, but if I'm playing with randoms, fuck that shit.

Usually by the time I roll around to Pat round, I have enough money for a sniper rifle. Depending on the team size and how useful the randoms are, I can take him out in at max 10 shots, up to suicidal difficulty. And that's accounting for the occasional miss.

Yeah, M99 is amazing, but you really only can use it on the Patriarch round; they made the ammo too damn expensive.

that they did, and I hate it. It was the most fun to just run around spamming it. Sometimes I will use it on the last round before Pat, just for fun. I can reasonably get three kills per bullet, so it's not too big of a waste. With an m9 as backup, it's not awful.

I just dont like skrakes because they hurt me more then FPs... dont ask why they just do...plus their holiday get ups suck except or summer sideshow

I like Commando, but it is probably the hardest class to level in the game, just becaus of how much time it takes, and whenever you play Commando, the game seems to look over and say: "Oh, you need to kill stalkers to level up? Well, fuck you, I'm not going to spawn any, but maybe 1-2 if I'm feeling nice" xD I've been carrying a bullpup around on every class for that reason when I want to earn points towards it.

just go onceupon man, it's so easy to level up. I honestly love that map.

Player made maps are the shit though. Try out Grid, or Bunker, though onceupoin is the best.

I've tried bunker and thought it was alright. My problem with player-made maps, is that they feel too easy compared to normal maps.

Yes, but they are still not as well-made as the maps that are created by the developers, at least in my opinion. Also, because of that reason they used to have a map whitelist for a long time, but I think community pressure made them get rid of it, even though I personally think it should be re-instated (to reduce boosting of levels)
