Using the website below (Not entirely sure if it's legitimate but for the sake of this topic assume it is) design your own class for COD Black Ops.

Black Ops Information

Name: Assault Wookie
Primary: GALIL assault rifle w/ Suppressor + (Undecided)
Secondary: M1911 Pistol
Lethal Grenade: Semtex
Equipment: Motion Sensor - Pokeballs basically
Tactical Grenade: Decoy - Simulates red dot on radar
1st Perk: Ghost - Invisible to radar
2nd Perk: Warlord - Two attachments to weapons
3rd Perk: Ninja - Self-explanatory
Killstreaks: Spy plane, counter spy plane, blackbird

I'm unsure if Treyarch is actually letting you have three pieces of equipment (grenade, special grenade, equipment) but even so what will you choose?

StormEye

So they still have the ultimate 3rd perk still intact...

I hope Ninja is toned down this time.

That being said, I'm not creating classes until I see how each weapon/perk/equipment works individually (Combat Training mode)

I didn't have a huge problem with Ninja, I used it on basically every single one of my classes except for my LMG class (L86 FTW) but I'm just glad s*** like "commando" is gone.

Not being able to here enemy footsteps can be a disadvantage but it seemed that a majority of the community used either steady aim or commando anyways.

Ninja is OP in MW2; it is by and far the best 3rd perk in the entire game.

In CoD4 and WaW, Dead Silence was balanced because it was an effective perk, but it was still able to be heard with other things. Now, Ninja would've been fine, but SitRep Pro STILL can't hear Ninja. There's no counter. When there is no counter to something, it starts to become cheap/stupid. Even SP was kinda cheap in MW2, especially when placed on Sniper Rifles, because there was no Juggernaut to counteract it.

Actually with the right surround sound you can hear ninja because it does not silence when you run through grass and rub up against things.

But it still silences footsteps everywhere else, and even if you hear them on grass, even if you have gaming headphones like I do, they are probably 2-3 feet away (with the sound so loud it will blow out your eardrums), and by then, you're usually dead.

Yah that is just one of the many things IW screwed up.

First of all I'm going to assume that "MAC11" is a typo/wrong because if it really does have the MAC11 instead of the MAC10 I doubt I will buy this effin' game. That would be stupid beyond all reason, especially with the damge rating they gave it. Mad

Name: COBRA COMMANDO
Primary: MAC10 - Akimbo baby!
Secondary: Python
Lethal Grenade: Tomahawk - I scalp you now!
Equipment: Claymore - Chase me and die
Tactical Grenade: Decoy - Stimulates her red dot
1st Perk: Lightweight - Move like the motherfuckin' wind
2nd Perk: Steady aim - Aim like motherfuckin' Robocop
3rd Perk: Marathon - Cruise like a motherfuckin' missle
Killstreaks: The killstreaks bored me to much to pick any... sorry Neutral

EDIT: Uh... I hope that's not the complete weapon list because it doesn't make me happy.

Sad

I hope the weapon list is larger as it's fairly small right now.

From my own experience Ninja users could be heard if they fell a certain distance.

You must be hearing other people. Ninja, iirc, multiplies the sound of the user's footsteps, so that it's quieter than multiplying it by 0.25x, it's ridiculous. CoD4 and WaW had it right with Dead Silence; Ninja is too quiet.

Is no one else mad about this MAC11 thing? I'M OUTRAGED I TELL YOU, FILLED TO THE BRIM WITH RIGHTEOUS ANGER! Mad

I think that site just doesn't know what it's talking about though. The image they show looks like it's from an ad for an Airsoft gun. They also have the image mirrored to what it actually looks like. Neutral

Which website?

The one linked by the TC.

Hmm...well, that's pretty much how stupid MAC11's look.

Also, better website:

Nothing to do with looks. The MAC10 fires .45, the MAC11 is much smaller and fires .380 basically a shorter, weaker 9mm. MAC10 is awesome... MAC11 not so much.

Fuck that site you linked to says it's a MAC11 also. That should actually give it the lowest damage value of all the Smg's, not the highest. Shit it looks like an in game shot says MAC11 but in the artwork it shows a full sized MAC10. How hard is it to have somebody proof this stuff?

The only weapon I really wanted this game to have was a 10. Well hopefully it's in BC2 Vietnam because I may have to pass on BO now. Mad

Over something as stupid as that? Really?

Also, the game never has realistic damage per weapon.

I.E. The Ak-47 and the M16 do the same damage as each other, and more thna the G36c and the M4. 3 snipers did more damage than the M14, which did more damage than the G3, even though, STILL in the game, they share the same ammo. It'll be given damage based on it's recoil and RoF, not it's realistic cartridge.

It just really bugs me, It's just not the version I wanted Sad If it doesn't have it's iconic massive suppressor (preferably the 2-stage) then I'll be really pissed though.

I'm not to thrilled with the weapon selection so far either so I hope there are quite a few that haven't been shown.

There's a lot of kind of weird guns from Vietnam yeah, but still, they're actually unique for once, and I'm looking forward to trying out new (old) weapons that are from a timeframe not usually used in games. Very Happy

Depending on the actual time-frame (Vietnam through coldwar... 60's - 80's? 90's?) there are a lot more interesting guns that could be in it. If I knew what their cut-off year was it would help though.
