Deep Silver Reveals New Metro: Last Light Release Date

Metro: Last Light has been dated for a May 14th release, following the game’s acquisition by new publisher Deep Silver.

The 4A developed, atmospheric shooter was previously slated for a March launch.

“The new release date is the ideal way to strike the balance between bringing the best out of Metro: Last Light and not keep the fans waiting longer than necessary,” said Koch Media CEO Dr. Klemens Kundratitz.

“We won’t leave that time unexploited and will work closely together with 4A Games to make the game even better. It will receive all the attention it deserves.”

Deep Silver’s international commercial director Menno van der Bill added, “Since it has been made public that we took over the Metro franchise, the fans keep asking for a release date.

“Now we can finally announce when they will be able to get their hands on the game! We would like to thank all of the Metro fans for their patience. And we can assure them that we have a lot more coming their way with the franchise.”

i should really play Metro: 2033. i bought it in the THQ Bundle and havent got around to installing or playing it yet. hope my laptop/nerves can handle it lol.

Yeah it's the only game that's made my system struggle so far.

Other than Garry's mod, but that's a little different.

is it hungrier than Far Cry 3? because if not then i should be fine. i can play FC3 at a steady 30 FPS at 1080p. i can run things fine at 768 too, but i much prefer the UI in 1080p, more screen space.

I should be fine with no AA,I just used the FXAA anyway and maxed it out. It ran fine on 720p medium settings on my hd4000 intel graphics anyway haha

well, it was in the bundle anyway, so very little is lost if it cant run

I wanted to play the first one, but couldn't tear myself away from BF3 long enough to try it. This new one does look sweet though.
