My friend is an IT student, and he got me a free copy of Windows 8 for my laptop. Only problem is, I haven't a clue how to handle it.

It's in a DVD format, so I know I need to mount it to VCD, but I'm lost as to how to go from there. Anyone got any suggestions?

1.Realise that your trying to install windows 8

2.Use the disk for something more productive, Like a frisbee

What do you mean DVD format? Did it actually come in .vcd format? Who the hell uses .vcd?

Either way just burn it to an actual DVD or use daemon tools.
