I personally don't like any of the current church systems, especially the current Catholic system and the idea of having a "leader/ruler" like a pope.

I'm all for spiritually, even being an atheist myself. I do not believe spirituality and religion to be dependant on one another.

If anything the Force always struck me as a deep understanding of the connection of all things, not as creed.

Am I even making sense?

Hello, he's the Pope. It's against his religion in a very serious way. That boggles my mind the most.

Headline: "Pope's shocking stance on gay marriage" - he's against it.

Shocking how?! I doubt a Pope will ever be down with same sex marriage. Ever. And that's ok. It's the religion, after all.
