Hows everyone feeling about the remake?

I'm on the fence. It looks to be a remake without the awesome... cheese.

Dunno. I believe I read that the original director is in on it. But not the actors.

I'm a huge Evil Dead fan and I'm more excited for it than I have been for a movie in a long, long time. The trailer for it looks awesome.

The reason it doesn't have the cheese is because it's a remake of the original, not Evil Dead 2. The original one was actually made to be scary and disturbing and it is. It has a really weird quality to it that makes you feel uncomfortable. It feels like you're watching a snuff film.

And yest this one is also made by Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell, Bruce isn't acting in it though just co-producing. So it is the same creators not some new people looking to put their own twist on it, but the original guys re-creating their original vision with a big budget.


It's not to often something cool like that happens.

Evil Dead 2 was slapstick gore and Army of darkness was comedy, but Evil Dead 1 wasn't.

I've been reading reviews of this one and apparently it's pretty damn good.

I personaly hate scary movies..just not my thing...but I kind of want to see this. I love bruce Campbell....in Bruce Campbell

I haven't seen any of the originals in... a long time. So I must be remembering all the cheese from number two then. I believe the first movie is on netflix. Maybe I'll watch it.

Same here.
That's the classic. I can see why they would remake the first and not the second though. You could never remake that magic that made Evil Dead 2 the cult-phenomenon that it became.
