So what are you guys up to on this zombie Holiday? Very Happy I just had a pretty epic turkey diner and I'll be going to jam with the new band later.

Also season finale of walking dead later. Should be pretty good.

Did Jesus Ressurect himself or did God do it for him?

Because that could bring the whole Lich thing into some doubt

depending on which version you prefer...

jesus is god born on earth, as a sacrifice to himself, of himself.
To save us of the wrath of ...himself.

Actually, Jesus is supposed to be on of a trinity according to the Bible, or a 3 in one. The Hebrew word for God, was "Elohim", which was both singular and plural. Jesus is supposed to be the son figure of the trinity, while the Father, is the traditional God most people think of, and he is more of the final judge of things.

Easter is actually based a lot more on Pagan holidays, kind of a bastard child between Christian and Pagan beliefs. While Christians celebrate the day Resurrection of Jesus, the Pagans celebrated their fertility ritual at roughly the same time. Hence the eggs, rabbits, and such.

Just an interesting tidbit Very Happy

Isn't Zombie Jesus' day December 25? Or whatever wring date they got.

Still, no matter. I've been dicking around for a while week doing absolutely nothing. And I love it. Starting tomorrow, though, I'll be back to do some productive shit, until next week when I'm back to no-free-day-for-the-whole-week.

Kind of, actually.

The way it goes throughout the Bible, is that nobody alive is worthy saving human beings from their sins, because none of them could be a perfect sacrifice. So according to the Bible (and prophesied over 300 times in the OT actually), that there would be a Messiah for mankind to do so. Essentially, Jesus Christ was the perfect human sacrifice, because he was God born in the flesh, and he never sinned, but took the wrath of God upon himself as a man, making him the perfect sacrifice to atone for all of mankind's sins. Before that, Jews believed in sacrificing a lamb or clean animal, and using the blood to cover up their sins for a short time. On the 3rd day of his burial after crucifixion, he disappeared from his tomb and was not found when it was opened, the curtain in the Temple was torn in half, and he was later seen by many people, alive and well. That's the celebration of Easter, as far as the Christian side goes.
