I'm guessing the PC version must be a lot better than the 360 version then.
I bought the 360 HL2, but took it out and sold it after playing it for about an hour. Didn't like it at all.

Never played it on PC though.

I like HL2, but I think it's a little over-rated. I really didn't like the constant load times, and I think the only parts of the game I really enjoyed were Ravenholm, and controlling the bugs with the pod. I must say that it is much better than most modern shooters though.

And yes Metal, PC TF2/HL2 are MUCH better than the 360 version. 360 versions of both of those games are pretty shit.

Yeah it was definitely made for the PC.

I mean it was a decent port(better be if it's 3 years late) and I liked it, but the controls are still designed for keyboard and mouse, and you still don't get any patches, updates, or any of the 476,000 mods for it.

Valve doesn't really pay attention to any of their console ports after they release them(except maybe Left4Dead but I think they hired someone else to develop that). I've heard CS:GO hasn't even gotten any updates since release. PC version gets an update every couple of weeks. Not to mention poor old TF2.

I've just got a lot of nostalgia attached to the series. I spent a lot of time playing mods for the original HL(The Specialists, Counter Strike, The Ship etc..), and HL2 just blew my mind when playing it on my buddies gaming PC. The kind of physics that were in it were unheard of, the graphics were top notch at the time(especially GMan's face), and I've always liked its style of gunplay.

Half Life 2 was the first pc game I ever bought I believe. Got it for the Zombie Panic Source mod,which is fun, a slow paced ripoff of left 4 dead

I have only played HL2 on 360 and even though the controls aren't optimal, I still think it was the best made FPS game ever.

I first played it on the original xbox and thought it was so cool for being partly open world with hidden stuff. Also love the Ravenholm level

Sounds like I should have given it more of a chance before I tossed it aside like garbage.
