yup....happened to me. I was going to play nice,but then they bitched at me for building my civ up when they had no problem doing the same to me.


I heard in this DLC they were going to change the behavior of the A.I. but not sure how much it would matter.

I played CIv with a close friend and he does the same thing

I always finish my turn well before him, and I spend most of the time sitting around with my thumb up my ass.

It's complicated on surface, but once you learn the mechanics, it's pretty simple.

You don't need Korean pro gamer level of skill to win. It does help in MP, but not to you, only to others.

Civ is one of the more accessible strategy games IMO

You should really give it a try sometime

Civ5 is very... not so much relaxing, but not-stressful. you still get moments where you get screwed over and have to think hard about a strategy, or times when you have to plan, but you dont have to think on your feet in seconds like in an RTS. you dont have to have insane APM or micro/macro control to be good.

I just hate playing the over aggressive AI

I get attacked constantly when I play it

I learned not to trust my friend playing either. Dude signs a peace treaty with me so I let my guard down, then attacks me with 35 units 5 turns later

If I see Germany, Japan, Aztec, and Hun, I demolish them ASAP. India later on the line, as they attack you depending on the number of wars you were in since they love "peace" so much. And this number does not just count when you declare war, but it counts overall wars.

This topic made me decide to play again

Despite having Mongolians on my left and Huns on my right

I got attacked by those shithead Americans first

He kept trying to sign a peace treaty after he took one of my citys in a surprise attack a turn after we signed a Declaration of Friendship

He then spent the rest of the war pulling spear men out of his ass
