This, I have always found Major Nelson to be a Major Tool. But to be honest, thats just because of his face.
To be honest though, hes actually a good guy who cares for his job, does care about the consumer, and is generally very knowledgable about what he does. But what he does is mostly work for the community. Not this stuff, I do feel bad for him. He hasn't done anything to do with this crap with this system, yet more then likely hes going to be punished for it.

MN seems to be under the impression that the Cloud is much more than extra storage. He seems to believe that the Cloud will give the X1 a boost over the PS4's hardware. He even says exactly that.

I still dont see how cloud gaming could increase a platforms horsepower? Maybe I have a rather basic understanding about the cloud. But Im pretty sure I dont, as its a rather simple thing.

It can send and receive basic data to add neat features to games, but there's no way in hell that it could actually improve the graphical fidelity of the games. I'm pretty sure you can't just stream in some better graphics to supplement a functional platform. It's either all or nothing there, and I doubt MS is going to make a giant server room housing millions of GTX 690s for all the xbones out there. Also streaming in something like that would cause visual latency, which depending on your connection could make shit completely unplayable. MS is just lying through their teeth if they think it'll make games look better.
