Since college is starting in 2 days, I moved in fully last night, and organized/cleaned up my room. I'm living in a co-ed fraternity, second floor room. It's not that small, 9.5x10.5, and theres a nice big window in it. The best part is location, its right next to the lake front, and to the State St. (main street in madison, goes right from the Capitol Building to the edge of campus. The only real issue is heat, the room can become a sauna with my PC on full blast.
Here are a few pics I took:
now, the great travesty. I had to give up my ethernet cord, since the house only has wifi capability. I've been forced to rely on a little Netgear adapter dongle, I was expecting total shit. And to be fair, the connection does drop randomly. And I've yet to see what happens when all 26 people are online, but it typically ranges at between 6 mbps and 25. Late at night, I'll have a great connection I think. That, and if it falls too much, my dad showed me how to use my phone as a wireless hotspot, and I get something like 30 on that.
