i donk know man, between being horribad with m/k AND me putting a shit ton of bullets into someone and them turn around and kill me and have 98% health. im not enjoying it so far.

i have like a 60% quit rate...

make sure you're joining low ping servers, man. it makes a HUGE difference. And it takes time to get used to mouse and keyboard.

I am up to play a few games right now if you want. Just invite me on battlelog or something.

That's how it is at first. Going from console to PC is a bit hard, since the skill ceiling appears to be higher. And since you went into it at the very end of the game's life cycle, everyone knows their way around much better than you.

M/KB is so far superior to gamepads for FPS its not even debatable.

Also it takes more than a day to become competent with a M/KB lmao

i also remember when i picked up my first FPS on 360 and immediately went 34-2 in my first match

when you get used to it you start to like it on pc better because there's actual skill now,you end up getting way more kills on the noobs easy since there's no auto aim

have you tried turning down the mouse sensitivity?That's what was screwing me up bad, well and DPI but idk if your mouse has those settings or not

Holy shit man! I play at 1800DPI, bring it down a notch, that way your mouse isn't so damn squirrely. More DPI isn't necessarily better. Also, if you have mouse acceleration, turn that off, it can really screw with your aim.

Chances are you're over shooting your targets and spending too much time getting your cross-hairs on target. I started at 1500 and slowly increased the sensitivity until I found a point that I was comfortable at.

Also, be sure that your FOV is set to your liking, there is a big difference between 70 FOV and 100 FOV from my experience.

yup Artimise saved pc gaming for me because I never thought dpi would of been messing me up,it was taking me way too long to line up my shot then I lowered my DPI to like 1600 and it feels alot better


played on a noob server last night and they were so bad I plugged in my xbox controller and still chumped them for the lulz.... tried flying a jet on firestorm with keyboard,didn't work so well lmao. guess I'll keep the controller in for vehicles at least.


trust me man I was probably feeling the most frustrated and down in the world but practice with low dpi and turn mouse accel off if you have that on,and a low sensitivity and it's much better

I recently found that my PS3 controller works on my PC, so I have to see if I can rebind it and use it when I'm flying or driving in a tank. I've just gotten so used to flying with KB/M that it doesn't bother me as much.

@Epyk Yeah, try starting with 1500 and upping the sensitivity up in increments of 100 until you find a point that you like. I like higher sensitivity since it takes less movement to turn and so on, I have limited space on my desk so it helps.

It took me a while to get used to 1.8k DPI, and I'm pretty much a vet for PC gaming. You'll get the hang of it, it just takes time. Also yes, the learning curve does seem much higher on PC than it does on console, that and the fact you're jumping in towards the tail end of the games life span, so the vast majority of players have already figured out all the little quirks of the game, while you're combating that and the controls.

That's one of the jarring differences in controllers and mice. On console, people could get away with cranking sensitivity up to max and let auto-aim do the work. But on PC, since you can accelerate at much more varying rates than console (not limited by an analog stick) its usually better to go lower. If you have a tiny mouse pad maybe not, but enough room to do a 180 or a bit larger is good.

lowered it down to 1200 and came in second with 7500+

The skill ceiling is sooooo much higher on PC due to m/kb you get owned hard until you get the hang of it. Then it becomes second nature and you wonder how you ever played a fps on a pad. At least that was mine and lots of other peoples experience.

when you get the sensitivity down right and everything it does seem like 2nd nature. Try to play metro or something with 40 or so people and sit back and just get a feel for the guns,or noshar canals bloodbath will warm you up too lol.

Just use the M16 or some other baby mode assault rifle until you feel comfortable. Shotguns actually take some semblance if coordination and dare I say skill to use well.

I had a 0.11 K/D when I first made the switch haha. Don't feel too bad man I'd say you're doing alot better than me.

I didnt have a HUGE learning curve because I played M/KB in the past. But it was a few good years of just consoles, so I too had it a bit rough at the get to.
