I did a test on my 780ti and forgot that I had shadowplay on. So I tested again, and the result was almost exactly 1% score difference in 3DMark11.
Have no real idea what others recording softwares are like, but this seems pretty darn good when I actually look at the numbers.
The only thing that annoys me (not even fault of nVIDIA) is that it seems that I can't take unlimited video in Windows 7. I need to upgrade to Windows 8 to be able to get 20 min shadow recording and unlimited recording. Win7 maxes at 10 min recording and probably a cut video at some point, since it cant take MPEG-4 video of extremely large size.
