But so far its bad ass

AC3 was just horrible for me, I hated it and it was easily my least favorite of the series.

Ive been waiting for a bad ass pirate game for awhile....hell I even bough Risen 2 for like 40$

Its good to hear that its much better than AC3. Was doubting whether I am even going to play this when I can just play BF4 instead.

Maybe I'll give it a go when its actually released here. Stupid non-synced release...

I just got past the part where it really opens up

Yeah. I just picked it up because I wanted something other than BF4 for the PS4. I wasn't expecting it to be so fucking awesome.

Normally I like my games short and sweet, but I already find myself dragging this one out and not doing story missions, but just all the cool side stuff. I harpooned a whale today while playing it at work Remote Play to my Vita! Ha!

The graphics are beautiful, and once you disable god rays it runs great,.

I will see how the performance goes without disabling god rays.

780ti, according to nVIDIA, should never dip below 40 with its optimized setting.

I got into one group fight in AC III and just put the game down. hold block, wait for red dot to appear above enemy head, counter, repeat was too damn simple.

With turning off god rays I never drop below 48 on my 770

God rays are incredibly demanding, and I didnt see much of a graphical difference with them on anyways.

But if you can run it then go for it haha

Its the same AC combat from what I can tell so far

How do you equip weapons Frost?

Does it auto equip whatever weapon is the "best"

You have to go to a shop or your captains cabin to change weapons and outfits

Basically the same except there seems to be no block button. I'm a jillion hours in and I still don't know how to disarm people.

The combat is waaaaay to fucking easy. The first Assassins creed still had the most depth to the fighting (I haven't played 3 though).

you have to be unarmed to disarm people

That's nice to hear that it's a good game, pleasant surprise there after what people have been saying about AC3.

I still haven't beaten Brotherhood... Started playing it almost a year ago.

It seems cool from what I saw played. The open tropical world reminded me of Far Cry 3 which was pretty cool too

What? No, wouldn't exactly be remote if you couldn't use it away from home. It will work anywhere so long as you have a good hotspot and you have it set up right.

I played through a bunch of Ass Creed today from my parents house about 50+ miles away. Runs smooth as butter, almost as good as playing on the PS4 in my living room.

It is bad ass and works awesome.

Just picked up AC4, and I am liking it a lot more than 3. I actually want to keep playing. Game runs decently after using the D3Doverrider, I just cant decide between using TXAA or SMAA. SMAA is sharper and is cheaper for performance, but TXAA gets rid of the AA skipping because of all of the plants.
