When it seems like it's hanging, just let it sit. I had to wait a couple minutes and then it got to the menu. PLaying now, working fantastically.

I don't get a loading screen. I press play and it imminently get two error messages and I must then go into the task manager to end starbound. I will try letting it sit after the two error messages though.

You just need to run steam as admin to stop it from crashing. I do not even hang on the logo.
