I saw like a 39inch 4k tv on amazon for like 500 on black friday, seemed nice, although I believe STILL "hd" channels are only 720p...people were saying 1080p was pretty useless back in 08-09 when I got mine, and might be the case now unless you're gaming. Blu-ray only goes up to 1080p anyway I think
780ti SLi cannot play 4K resolution at decent FPS, if graphics are set high. So 4K gaming is out of the picture for now. Consoles? LoL!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, there are few creators making 4K media, and I know some countries are preparing their media infrastructure for it, but it won't be mainstream any time soon. I don't even think EVERYONE has 1080P TV, or broadcasting companies broadcasting exclusively in 1080P+.
yeah me and sym talked a little about it before, about when the hdtv craze a few years ago hit, I imagine most people just went with cheap 720p tvs, although they can do 1080i I heard it's technically worse since it's interlaces so it would be 570p or something low
