Start running from about 20 feet away and punt the box into your neighbors yard.

Problem solved

Ugh. Frostbyrn, don't you know what they're doing? Honey bees are slowly dying off, and the price of buying a starter nuke (that's what it's called) with bees is going up. If you can find a swarm of honey bees, it's always nice to call your neighbors, and have them come get it. Most people put pheromones on a box to lure them into it, or they use special equipment to capture them. The bees are simply swarming; their main hive has become too small to hold all of them, so the bees produce a new queen, and half of the hive leaves with her to find a new place to live. They often stop and rest on objects, or they'll enter wherever the scout has found a new place.

No what's going on is the woman brought a hive box with a queen in it to atract the swarm so they can be moved safely.

They won't do anything. My mom used to work beehives without any gloves on. As long as you don't get really close them or piss them off, they'll just kinda sit there. Bees are even much less aggressive while swarming.

When an insect society like that of ants or bees is depicted in fantasy media, the hero of the story will usually be... a male worker? The fact that the workers in Hymenopteran social insect colonies (ants, bees, wasps, etc.) are all females, and the only males exist to fertilize the queen and quickly die after this mission is complete, sometimes by the queen ripping the male's genitalia out of his body, seems to have no bearing on the need for making the hero a male. After all, you NEED a "Male Lead" who can go out on adventures and save princesses. And as the only actual males in an anthill spend their entire lives doing nothing but providing the queen with a constant supply of genetic material... makes it hard to set up any kind of adventure-hooks.

LOL! No, no, no, no. Very wrong. The workers are all females, along with the queen. The only males are drones. Their only function is to breed, then die.
