Personally, I would never use the inconsistent rubber knife if I didn't get the reward. Being killed by the Defib/Repair tool is way more humiliating than being knifed, but because I loves me some dog tags, I have very few kills this way.

I answered yes but only cause i'd suprise someone or it was a desperate last chance.

Otherwise i don't bother even with the reward because only 1/20 times will my first swipe award me tags.

Too random to trust. Since I have all knife rewards and achievements, I just use it as a reflex in CQ. I find the less you use it, the more often it works.

The knife pisses me off too much. No tags = no knife.
I hardly use the thing as it is.

The knife is a reflex for me anyways, Modern Warfare ingrained the knife in me too deep.

I really don't care about dogtags, idk why. If i come across a sniper i take the headshot because it's more points.

You get bonus points for knifing someone based on their level.

If I didn't get dogtags, I wouldn't use the knife at all.

If somebody is perfectly still and not paying attention (most likely a sniper), or is traveling alone and unaware of my presence, I would still go for the knife kill. It's much more quiet (as long as your dumbass character doesn't yell), it doesn't show up on the radar, and it's much more satisfying than simply shooting them.
