Well I have every AR platinumed except the AN-94 and the M416. I'm working on the AN-94 right now.

The M416? Easily my least favorite AR in the game. How do people like this thing? It's ugly, smelly, racist, it sounds dumb, chews with it's mouth open, squishes when you touch it, farts in public etc... It's basically the Fred of AR's...

The M416 is the only assault rifle made out of lego blocks.

It does have some recoil, but it's really easy to control, as opposed to other assault rifles (minus the M16) is what I'm saying. You can hold down the trigger for the entire magazine, and still land 80%+ rounds on somebody (better than 95%+ than the ACR, but still)

Maybe if you use irons/RDS. You can't pull that shit with 4x, on any gun.

There's your problem. RDS/irons make every gun I used them on really accurate. It's really dumb that 4x makes the gun kickmore.

4X doesn't add recoil, its just the magnification.

And iron sights are underrated, unless you're playing assault there's a lot better options avaliable.

It doesn't necessarily make your gun recoil more, it's just the different PoV may make it seem like it does. It's kinda like how 12x scope doesn't really reduce the bullet drop, it just makes it appear so.

I don't know why but I can't kill shit with the M416, I'll take any AR over it. I'm dreading going for platinum with it but It's the only one I have left to do (I'm almost plat on the AN...)

Why is it stupid that there appears to be more recoil with the 4x scope? If it didn't then it would definitely be overpowered.

Not necessarily; at close range, the 4x puts you at a disadvantage if you are too far away to hipfire, but too close to use a weapon that slows down you're aim, you are most likely screwed.

Good point, I have actually only used it once and that wasn't even on my weapon so I guess I can't really say much.

I personally don't usually use 4x for that reason, becuase I've been killed because I was using it instead of a RDS, but it's one of those things, that when you don't have it, you need it, and when you don't want it, you have it, lol. Kind of like the flu. xD

I have one platinum, the XM8. My other closest ones are the G3 with 500, Garand with 950, and maybe the M16 with 300 or so.

I like the M416. Do just fine with it and the iron sites (I never use optics except with recon anymore).

I hate the AN94 though.

Yeah but the entire BF community disagrees with that viewpoint. I dislike the 3rd shot of the burst on the M16 going off-target at long range.

I don't really get why people think using one makes you 'better' than using the other though. M16 and AN94 are both boring guns to use in my opinion.

I finally platting the garand. Now on to the thompson, and im working on the m1911. I'm only using WW2 weapons and the SV-98 lately.
