Why doesn't Microsoft delete inactive accounts?

It hasn't been online since the original Xbox.

Metalzoic is taken too... by me! It was my GT on the original Xbox from the day they launched Live, but it wouldn't let me recover it because I no longer had that email address.

It just keeps sitting there. Oh well...

What if the person doesn't want to play online for a few years and then when a game comes out that they love and they want to play it online their account is deleted?

You can't recover gamertags from the original xbox if they have been inactive for a certain amount of time. They are waste. I don't think any 360 gamertags should be deleted, however.

I never have trouble getting an account with Erkeric which is my normal user name for stuff.

Although some times I have an account on something I forgot about then I have to choose a back up because I cant get the first one to work or something.

i think its just people trolling by taking the cool gamertags and never using them again but thats just me

I wanted to change my gamertag to thriker but I made a silver account a long time ago because I thought I had another one month on my xbox, which I didn't. I don't remember the email for it.

Yeah well luckily I made that my username on PSN so nobody would take it.


Problem is I haven't played on that account in like 2 years >_> no games and whatnot. I rented BC2 for the PS3 and played it on my brother's account a while ago (he was around level 10 so I thought 'better than starting from 0 right') but there was so much lag because of where its situated in my house, it was 100 times worse than pre-patch and trying to spot on that awful baby-hands controller is fucking awkward as shit.

And I couldn't figure out how to get the colors to not-look fucked up ._.

MarxistDictator is my SteamID too even though I don't have any Steam games. Its a brand really.

Someday I need a new GT. Mine's just lame haha
