My answer would be no. Even though I might be afraid of death living forever would be pointless since you would lose everything you care about.

No; I would probably set the limit at one or two millenia if I could. I'm curious about the future, but living forever would eventually be droll, not to mention that like you said, everything you cared about would be gone.

I would say yes only if I can suicide in the future, I would like to see how Earth becomes and what happens through evolution/whatever. And I can take all the time to explore the world and swim to the depths of the ocean to find what's there. That will only happen though once I have outlived my loved ones because I would want to spend all my time with them.

I would then gain the power of geass and have the power to control people on eye contact and rule the world for ever!

Anyway, I would still do it. Even after humanity dies out, hopefully by then there would be other known species in the galaxy that I could mingle with. I've always been fascinated with the idea of a great, epic life, outliving everyone, with periods of 1000's of years between discovering civilizations.

But that's just me.
