1Sleep problem? Empty Sleep problem? 2010-12-26, 11:55

Most nights I have trouble sleeping and sometimes I don't sleep at all. I get tired at the most random times and a lot of the time I just feel really weird. Does anyone have any ideas that might help me?

If you exercise a bunch during the day it should be a lot easier to fall asleep.

Sounds like you might be having issues with melatonin levels. Try picking up some supplements. As far as I know, they don't produce a dependency.

you might have a bad sleep routine so your body isn't tired at all if you wake up late and need to sleep early and stuff.. also doing what Chewy suggested is a nice idea..

Just try to make sure you always get 8 hours sleep and stick to a routine so you don't end up feel tired one day and then for the rest of the week awake and can't get to sleep.

OH and if you want to go to sleep drink something warm like warm water/milk.

try not to think of stressful things? Might sound weird but i always keep a fan on low when i sleep i find it blocks out all the little sounds of other people and makes it easier to think of one thing and fall asleep.

This. I can. not. sleep. ever. without a fan on full blast. My house is just way too noisy.

you might have narcolepsy if you fall asleep at inappropriate times but just try what chewy suggested first

Do you have a lot of thing on your mind? That could be causing it since you just keep thinking about it or can't calm down.

I can speak from personal experience that Melatonin works very well. It's super cheap, so I suggest you try it. Here's where I buy it:

Adopt a baby, I used to have trouble sleeping (still do for entirely diffrent reasons now) but now pass out any time its quiet for more than four seconds.

All joking aside, remove any stimulants, tv, radio, lights. I always seem to fave trouble turning off the brain, bu that seems to help.
