Question- how many side quests are in this game? And how integral are they fir building a powerful character?

Also im building a warrior, since my "mage" couldnt even live through the opening to quest to join the grey wardens. Fail lol.

Yet another- I like this game so much im thinking of getting some dlc. Anybody play any of them? Any recomendations?

The human noble was pretty sweet, surving the castle seige and all.

there are an assload of side quests in the game, and it is a good idea to do most of them, in any case, for the xp, and the money to get skillbooks, better equipment, etc. etc.

as for dlc, i would recommend Awakening, of course, Return to Ostagar, Warden's Keep, and the Stone Prisoner (the feastday gifts are good for a laugh, and for bribing your bitchy party members into silence). i haven't played Leliana's Song, Golems of Amgarrak, or Witch Hunt, so i couldn't tell you if they are good or not.

i personally liked the Human Noble and the Dwarf Noble origins story, and i liked the Dalish storyline...

I have yet to choose between a human warrior or an elf mage, though. Maybe I'll stick to a warrior to reduce the chances of fucking up my character. Got it with a lot of DLC, included the one about those girls (Leliana & Morrigan).

I still don't know jack shit anyway. Can I "get" both of them in the same playthrough?
