Anybody got Case Zero?

I'm about to rush through homework and dinner so I get a chance to try it out.

That's the thing I wanted fixed most. Survivors were complete idiots. They were utterly useless if you didn't hold their hand.

Especially that old lady at the start i wanted to shoot her and save a few lifes every single game

Even the guy who had a shotgun did nothing. Half the time he stopped following me to shoot zombies all over, and often times hit me in the process.

Got it, great game, survivor AI seems better. They still rush headlong into mobs, but I have yet to actually have to stop to save them. They manage to shove their way through. Going on my 3rd playthrough, havent lost a survivor yet.

And Frost, to your enjoyment(and my sadness, seriously, I LOVED DR1's save system)they fixed the saving. There are now auto saves, and 3 files you can save on.

Otherwise, the game is great. Get it you must.

It finally finished, but I only had time to make a spiked bat and kill a few zombies. Seems pretty cool so far, need to play more though

I got this last night. DR was awesome. This is even better. Very similar to DR1 with some nice new additions. The Drill Bucket is my new favorite weapon of all time. Try it out.

Do you have to reserve the game to get the ability to DL the demo? or is it free on the market place? I know case zero is supposed to take place right before you play the actual DR2 full game.

It's a stand alone download. 400 MSP. No reserve needed.

I love the new combo weapons.The Paddlesaw and Boom stick are awesome.

Drill Bucket is my new favorite. But I haven't made the boom stick. How do you make that?

So far all I've made is the bat with nails, and killed 10 zombies with it. I can't wait to legitimately play it. I think it's a damn good bargain for 5 bucks

It is a great deal for 5 bucks.

Finally got time to play it, and it really is great. Best 5 bucks I've spend in a while. I loved the bucket with electric drills in it, put it on a zombies head and it shreds it up.

Finished it a couple times last night. It's short, but a lot of fun.

Combos in case you need help(spoilers)

Nails + Propane tank = IED Spikey tank
Spray Paint + Pylon = Air Horn
Nails + Bat = Bat with Nails in it...
Pitchfork + Shotgun = Boomstick
Chainsaw + paddle = Chainsaw paddle thingy. Badass.
Beer + construction helmet = Beer helmet. hilarious!
Rake + Battery = Shocky rake thingy.
Whisky + Newspaper = Molotov
Drill + Bucket = Drill Bucket

That's all so far in Case Zero.

I just had a co-worker/friend walk by telling me about this. He enjoyed it alot except for the fact of no autosave. He died after a while and lost everything. RAGE! He stated it's not much different than the 1st game but it's fun.

Hmmm maybe i'll pick this up for the coop?

But there is autosave. But only if you do key points, like savving a survivor, or doing a case related thing.

The save system is improved. I didn't have a problem with DR1 save system though.

You can actually make it anytime before you fight Jed.
The shotgun is in the sheriff's office.

Case:0 is loads of awesome and has me very excited for DR2.

Everyone complained about the save system in the first one too, but the save system is one of the things I really liked about it. The timing/saving gives this game some pressure and challenge that's missing from most games.

Because of the strict timing of different events a pure auto save function would screw you every time. It has to have manual save so that you have some measure of control over that time stress.

So many gamers whine and cry about tough games that I'm afraid they'll quit making them altogether. There's barely any as it is...

Yea i really don't mind the save system. I'm also pumped for how much they improved the gun shooting gameplay. I still need to make that chainsaw padel thing, sounds crazy.

That Chainsaw Paddle is a beast. Too bad it doesnt last long. I hope you can add books to make it last longer in DR2.

You can, the book to extend built weapon endurance is in a store by the cash register. There's a hint that mentions it too I think...
