Excuse me I was mistaken. The M82 is not among the .50 guns that I see at gun and knife shows pretty often. I have seen at least one M95 and a few other .50 rifles but I could not identify them. I also know someone that has a .50 rifle but I have not yet been able to find out what model it is.

My cousin fired one without any hearing protection, and permanently damaged his hearing in one of his ears.

Yeah they have a muzzle break on the end to help with the recoil but it makes the gun incredibly loud.

The recoil apparently is less then my .308 R700 but it will make you go deaf and possibly knock you off your feet if you stand in the wrong place. And that is not even for the person shooting.

If you have the proper license then you can buy as many fully automatic weapons as you want. It's just that the license requires a full background check and about $300 to $500 dollars a month.
