Worst possible human armageddon

After playing dead space 2, it got me thinking. Granted morbid thoughts lol. But what do you think would be the worst possible way for us to bow out?

- xenomorph invasion
-necromorph outbreak
- zombie outbreak
- our own doing, ie mutual nuclear destruction...

Personally im voting for necromorphs. Just so horribly brutal, violent and fast. At sexond place I would vote for xenomorphs. I cant imagine being chest bursted as terribbly enjoyable.

I have no idea what a xeno or necro morph is.

I dislike armageddons altogether.

However, the decades of UFO sightings (zenomorphs) is a great worry for me.
I've seen atleast four UFOs myself. Non-whiskey related, mind you.

Do you mean four Unidentified Flying Objects, or do you mean aliens?

We ARE aliens.

Actual UFOs. Some sightings justified by news reports and radio.
Hell, I filmed one, allbeit not that good, about six months ago.
Thing hovered and changed colors...you know.
The one I saw as a teenager and was reported on the radio was one of those "holy shit" deals.

Maybe the military testing out some kind of prototype?

The "big one" was describe by the local news as a falling satellite. This thing was cigar shaped, spark driven, shiny vehicle. SATELLITE MY ASS!
As it went under the moon you could see the moon's reflection on top of it. It didn't make any noise and it was HUGE. It was self-powered and was not a satellite burning in the atmosphere.

Yeah i definitely believe in alien life, but im just skeptical that aliens are visiting us now, and that there is zero physical evidence.

First Contact will be dealt with EXTREMELY carefully. It's nowhere near the same level Epyk. Being visited by extraterrestrials shatters the definition of life for a huge chunk of the world.

I seriously doubt contact with extraterrestrial intelligent life will devolve into war. Chances are, discovering us is just as much of a miracle for them and they won't want to destroy something so rare.




Also, that gray goo theory was played out in a series of Stargate SG-1/Atlantis arcs with the Replicators.

Im more inclined towards the exploitation that will be had.

I would think that alien life forms would be interested in knowing more about us, to learn from us. Unless our stupidity is so big that they see no use for us other than conquest and slaves

Which may be the case, if they are advanced enough. On the other hand, their intelligence could bring the point of war being useless to them.



Anyway, how about a Zerg invasion-infestation? I'm pretty sure that being surrounded by 1,482,580,706,283 zerglings wouldn't be pretty. Then, the chance of being infested and absorbed into the swarm. Awesome.

Edit: Also, how stupid would it be if there was an actual first contact in the years to come? And some religious zealots take it as a signal of evil, thinking of the aliens as the devil's messenger or something, and then attempt to kamikaze into them. Insta-crispy Earth once their alien fellows hear of it!

Maybe they'll be immune to it!! Or maybe their bodys will be even weaker than ours who knows =o.

I disagree with Epyk, but I don't deny it's certainly possible. I just think a civilization that can travel across the Universe would have better things to do than fuck us up.

The most likely for me would be our own cause. However it wouldnt be the worst.

Zombies would be up there. Aliens would be pretty high up there too.....now zombie aliens......lol I think zombies would be worse. Aliens would be technologically advanced and probably wouldnt be so inclined to wipe us out in a way we would have a hard time defending against and in which we would suffer like with zombies.

The thing with contact with aliens is they would no doubt be more advanced than us in technology. For us to have contact they would have to know we are here, and be able to get here....neither of which we have done. If they have the technology to get here then more than likely they have some idea of how to speak our language or atleast communicate with us. They would know our history and almost everything about us and we would know NOTHING about them. And really there is no telling which way contact would turn out. It all depends on how they feel about us and who we have doing all the talking. If we had someone like Kennedy leading us then we would be off to a good start in terms of negotiating....brilliant man he was.

What if were the aliens? And the most advanced planet in the universe. What if we are the first to make contact? Humans dont have the best track record as far as war is concerned.

Maybe we'll get our shit together someday. I firmly believe it could happen.

That could happen but I think if we did encounter a somewhat intelligent species we wouldnt be so inclined to go to war with them. Especially if the US gets there first but I dont know it depends on how we encounter them and who is us at the time. Also if we encountered them first, we wouldnt have much to worry about in terms of them attacking Earth.

Also its almost impossible that we would encounter an intelligent race of aliens in our lifetime on their turf. At most we would only encounter a very young world with at most small animals.

If it did happen, I dont trust our leaders to remain peaceful. Especially if we have an advantadge in technological and military might. Which is probable in this scenario....

Wel we need to make HUGE advances in space flight before we can truly explore out of our galaxy. Its also possible there could be once mighty planet that may have fallen from war or sickness. Like we very well could some day.

It would depend on what we want from them. If they have valuable technology we want, maybe we would kill them. But maybe we would give them rights as "humans". It all depends on a ton of factors. And like I said, Kennedy would have been a perfect candidate for that situation.

...and I wonder why the fuck I once received a coupon for free antibiotics from the drug store. That just made me outraged. Antibiotics should be only used when necessary. To just give them out willy-fuckin-nilly is irresponsible.

I agree. We shouldnt have been using antibiotics so much. Were loosing all our natural immunities while boosting micro-organisms. We need to release a widespread bacteria to boost immunities lol. We shouldnt be using antibiotics as preventative measures. We should only use them when necessary IE life at risk/serious side effects. Honestly I havent gotten a flu shot in 10 years and havent once caught it.

Flu shots aren't antibiotics, though. They're just injecting you with a dead virus, so that your immune system recognizes it as a threat (even though it's not a threat because it's dead) so that when you encounter a live version, your system has a defense ready for it.

I don't get flu shots either, and I haven't had the flu since I was in high school. But I have nothing against flu shots.
