Do you use the hd pvr capure card or capture device?

Im looking at the capture card and am confused on how it works, I assume I plug Mom xbox to the tv then run component cords from my tv outs to my card...but im not too sure...

I thought this topic was gonna be about the drink or the car... Just saying =o.

I have the HD-PVR and the way it works is you plug your component inputs from your 360 or PS3 or whatever into the back of PVR. Then with the provided component cables you go from the HD-PVR to your TV which lets you play on your TV instead of some small preview window on your computer. You then take the provided USB cable and plug that into the PVR and your computer and after you install all the software you can record anything you want.

Ahh perhaps ill just order one then, im at best buy and tye only carry the Cards.
dazzle is only 50$ though.... as long as I can at least play through component cords that would be ok for me..

Just make sure that your computer is close to your 360 and also that you have a lot of hard drive space because 4 hours or so of recording takes about 11 gigs of space.

how bad are sd youtube vids...that could sawy my choice.

After editing most of my 6 to 8 minute videos are about 300MB to 500MB so it's not too bad to upload but with good quality SD video isn't that bad.

found the hd pvr for $190.
so expect lots of bc2 videos in our future..

Yay for more videos! I love watching them so much. Makes me unable to resist BC2 even when deadly ill, as seen when I watched the vid. Volt posted and then played BC2 that night even after whining about being sick lol

also have you tun into the issue of your tv going into unsupported mode at the menus and friends screen on BC2?

Hmm, sounds fun.

Right now I'm giving Adobe Premiere a try but before that I was using Corel Video Studio X3 and it was pretty good.

I just downloaded coral so that's good, I couldn't find anything that could edit h.264 files...and it takes fucking 8 hours to convert an hour and a half of video....and half the time it errors out.

Any tricks to the trade you can part with before I get started?

If you are using the software that came with the PVR you should set it to the PS3 setting which would make the files .M2TS or something like that which most editors can edit without a problem.
