We just got robbed at my work!

And the guy went out my department when i wasn't here!!! FUUUUUUUUUU

Apparently the guy stole $560 worth of copper wire. If it's the person other employees described, cause he was acting fishy then it's the guy i've seen in here casing the place over the last 2 weeks.

This guy has come in and just looked around rather strangely, just pokes around and wanders. Then leaves. He never needs any help and rarely buys anything!

I hope the fucker comes back, as he saw how easy it was to steal stuff!!

On a good note: i'm not in trouble for leaving my door unlocked as i was only away from my desk briefly. NOW i have to keep this side door LOCKED all the time.

I know there has been a lot of problems in our area with copper stuff being stolen due to high value. One school had all the copper stuff stolen out of their airconditioning unit over summer break last year if I remember correctly.

Do you guys have an security cameras or anything? Are the cops looking for him? It would be really stupid of him to come back in there now. Lets hope he's stupid!

The cops came and i gave a description! and said i'd keep an eye out for the guy.

He'll be back as he saw how easy it was the first time!!

Even if he's back just to look around again, i'm gonna write down a plate number and what the car is and call the cops immediately!

We had a guy come in and purchase some welding eqipmrnt and said he worked for a company and gave us a PO number for the order.... Unfortunantly he didn't work for them and gave us a fake PO........ The idiot came back, and I was able to get a plate number. Police arrested him and dude got jail time!!! Win for the good guys!

He just came in looked around and two co-workers said he was acting funny constantly looking to see if people were watching him type! SO they watched him, and one minute he had two coils of copper wire in his arms the next minute he wasn't in the store anymore, and we're two rolls of copper short now unpaid for!

This is scary. The idea of being robbed is scary as hell. I spend almost 5 hours alone at work everyday. And I'm ornery. Hope my small town doesn't get an increase of crime any time soon!

I went through a theft phase when I was younger. Then after I cooled down I was robbed three times in a month's time. Karma will get you.

I worked at Kmart when I was younger. At one point it came to my attention that they fired the security gaurd and had all the cameras turned off....... so long story short I had a troubled childhood, and sticky fingers.

That's info that would get my attention even today.

So got an update!

As of today the total amount of copper products stolen from just our store is at a value of $2,600.

Other places have been hit in the area and reporting losses of copper stock as well.

A guy matching the description and caught stealing 25 miles from here was arrested 30 mins ago. I'll get to look at a photo line up sometime today and hopefully ID the guy! The guy that was arrested, liscense plate numbers matched 4 out of 7 digits as well.

I won't be the only one looking, but i did get a very good look at the guys face. I also have a photographic memory so that helps!

As this is only something that's been going on locally for the last 2 weeks.

theres a few salvage yards within 50 miles of here, one or two are known too buy obviously stolen stuff. BUT at really cheap prices! the cops are watching the sketchy yards.
