Sins of a Solar Empire.

I only played about 20 mins of this yesterday....but zomfg...
this game has been out for 3 years and I didn't know it.

Im sending out a call to arms of anyone who has it...
Or making it know that its only $10 via their website...

Oh yeah its a RTS spanning multiple solar systems 20+ planets, raiding space pirates , black market deals, and gigantic ass space battles...like..on a blowing up planets scale.

I heard that matches can take weeks to complete.

My friend has it

Penny-Arcade has talked it up many times and I've checked out info on it.
It sounds freaking awesome, but it's on PC so I won't play it. Sorry.

If they ever make a console or smartphone version I'm in.

Aye some of the 40 planet games can take weeks. Distance/time are compairable and destorying planets are no 5 minute feats.

They've bumped up the speed.

Following the 1.03 patch, with increased game speeds, this problem has been slightly improved, although games with six or more players can sometimes still take four hours or more.

Eh I'd need a better CPU to run it. Hopefully I'll be getting a awesome computer for engineering school.

Nah the min requirments are listed as some pc motherboard type, the gtaphics look goodm and the systmes are hugem but it runs extremely smooth on my $300 PoS.

Really? sorry I assumed since I got it from walmart for 10 the site would be the same.

I played before I scrapped my computer.

4X games are too complicated. I like knowing who to shoot, what ships to shoot with and knowing that an allied planet will not betray me when I jump there to run away.

I had to pay people resources to keep them on my good side. :/

Also, Advent. Lasers, pulse cannons, everyone is a chick, best *cough* carrier design. You can almost hear the rage in the shipmistress's voice because of the shape of the thing.

And pirate bases can be taken over in a ridiculously cheap way, just get a few carriers or light carriers and spam bombers.
