A thousand degrees is as far as I can imagine. How the hell is 4 trillion even computable? Isnt the suns core only 15 million degrees?
If it's hot enough to melt protons and neutrons why didn't the machinery fail? Baffling...

Yeah, mind-blowing stuff, it just doesn't compute to me.

i mean, how do you even come up with the number, 4,000,000,000,000 celsius?

I'm pretty sure they use a laser to compute the heat, which I think is only made up of electrons or something so it wouldn't melt.

Temperature can be measured backwards through the calculation of energy produced and entropy.

Stormeyes explanation sounds reasonable. All the heat resistant materials we have couldn't hold that much heat.. And most of the things we do rely on calculations of different things. I don't quite see why you'd bother to record the average heat of a reaction, unless they want to try a theory.

Me.....I would have said .

4 Trillion and 1/3rd of the 9th Power dived to 8th angle in 4th spectrum.

As to containing the heat, it probably dissipates over a large area. Maybe the core of a few atoms was 4trillion but the whole experiment wouldnt be near that.

yeah thats what im thinking, it might have only been a handful of molecules that were at 4 trillion degrees.

stormeye got it right as to how they compute stuff like that, but sheep was kinda right too since they did just kinda make up 4 trillion. I'm sure it's partially a guess.
