(I realize the timing of the quote and the year model is wrong)
My brother has a 1985 Chevy k1500 that he bought for 200 bucks. This thing is a tank.... We have it sitting up at my farm and it is beat to hell and back and it will not die. We've driven it through the creek that runs through the property, a pond, flipped it over and run into trees with it and it even has some bullet holes in it. We had to replace the gas tank, radiator, tore off the exhaust up to the headers. The thing still runs like a champ and even the air conditioning still works.
After hitting a tree, the hood wouldnt stay closed so to fix it we just hit another tree even harder.
All I can say is Chevrolet has built some bad ass trucks that just keep on kicking. And if the zombie apocalypse ever happens, Im getting me one of these trucks. Ill see if I can get some pictures to post later this week.
