You can make some ones 360 rrod by pulling the power cable on the back ever so slightly. When you turn on the 360 you will see3 red rings. Just plug the power cable all the way in to fix it.

this always happens to me, i shit my pants, then realize that its only 4 red rings. (it does 4 rings for me)

no, ive gotten 4 multiple times. i think 3 is actually the deadly one.

I have an HDMI port so that is why I get 3 lights. I can reproduce it.

I have had my console for almost 3 years and havent had it RRoD yet. Might purposly induce a RRoD so I can get it fixed before my 3 year warrenty expires.

My original console got the rings TWICE! But my elite has ran smooth as butter since I got it about two years ago.

I don't even remember what year it was when I got my 360. '08 I think. Never had a problem with it. Haha, I didn't open it for like 3 days after I bought it because I'd never spent that much money on one thing before and it kind of freaked me out lol

HAHA I couldn;t let it sit that long.... I ordered mine through amazon when they had a sale going and hell I had a game bought before the system even arrived at my door. Got home from work ripped open the box and had it going in minutes!

Same here. it was RR'd when I got it, and RR'd year and half later, bought a slim and have been happy since.

Me too, my Elite has barely hiccupped.

I got the "blood" red re5 se elite. I like it. Took some getting used to though color wise.

got mine in 2008. ordered it before going on holiday, came back and it was in my room.

played it within 10 minutes. got a game deal (H3 and AC).

glossy slim attracts a lot of dust but it's worth it for being so quiet to watch netflix and such.

I got mine from the midnight US release. Kari went and stood in line all night in the freezing cold to get it for me while I was sleeping.

Heat rises. The fans are behind it blow out alot, but some also escapes from the top. Putting something on top can act like a blanket and cause over heating.

honestly,if I could go back I'd just get a PS3 because at least they have free online multiplayer...it's stupid as hell xbox charges for that.

my 1st 360 was brand new,got it the night Gears of War 2 came out,bad disc drive.

2nd was a used falcon w/HDMI,last a year a 2 months I believe...

had my 3rd one,an elite that came with ODST and Forza 3,since May.Been going good so far.At least I still have 2 years and some change left on my warrenty so I rest easy with that.

eh I mean for what it's worth 360 is cool,I like the controller and it's a cool cheap HD console,but it's had toooooo many hardware problems like I had with PS2.

if/when mine does break,I hope the slim model is cheap.

I'll just get a 4gb model cheap,and then y'all know you can use you're "old" 360 HDD's inside the slim right?You just remove it from the enclosure and the slim has a direct SATA port
