Above the influence commercial analysis

In this commercial you can see that the people are controlled by strings, they are puppets. These people are assumed to all be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

And at the end, it asks a question: "If you're not in control, who is?"

Well, according to the commercial whoever is pulling the strings is in control. But I'm sure that the point of the commercial wasn't saying that if you are under the influence someone is going to turn you into a marionette and control you. It's obviously a metaphor.

So, who are they trying to say is in control? The great puppet master in the sky. God.

So if you're not in control, God is in control. So get drunk for Him, and He will guide your way.

no wonder they serve wine in church.

it all makes sense they had a lower tolerance back then and used to serve barrels of wine

if they had harder liquor in jesus days they would serve that in church

GET DRUNK FOR THE LORD!

It could also be interpreted that you're being manipulated by the companies who sell the products...

Still a stupid commercial, though.

ok so i've been trying to interpret this older one for a while but i don't have much:

It's saying that marijuana costs more than you think because you will try to eat your guitar(from the munchies) and accidentally light your car on fire because you will forget how to drive it.

These commercials are just terrible.

I wish I could find the one I remember from when I was a kid. It had this dad rapping to his son, and the lyrics went something like this:

"The wacky weed / it is bad / believe you me / cause I'm your dad!"

Then the mom starts wonking on some turntables.
