I just "donated" Plasma (blood)

And I made an easy $25. It won't always be $25. It will be more. I will return maybe Saturday and make another easy moneys.

im an organ donor but i have no plans to die in the near future , so blood donation sounds better

Doesnt donating plasma hurt? Isnt there a difference between donating blood and plasma?

What organization does this? Surely it can't be the Red Cross?

Also, do they accept blood in plastic bags that don't belong to you? Because I has an idea...

Plasma is more of the liquidy, yellow part of your blood. When you donate plasma, they draw it through a tube with the rest of your blood, then it goes through a machine, which filters out the plasma, then sends you back the rest of your blood. Plasma regenerates very quickly, so you can theorically donate every 24-48 hours (don't quote me on that one) I think, but I think it's usually recommended to only do a few times a week. I'm not sure what companys do plasma donations, but when they pay you, they get away with it by paying you for "your time" instead of your actual plasma. Pretty nice, compared to donating blood normally, which doesn't pay you at all, leaves you weakened, and you can't do it again for quite a while.

I don't have a fear of needles, but, for some reason, I have a fear of that little pinprick thingy. Like the ones the diabetics use. I had to really suck it up today cause I had to have my finger pricked by one. I almost pulled my arm away from the guy.

It doesn't matter your blood type since it's not the blood they are after.

I just can't give blood. I get all nervous and start freaking out when I see more then just a few drops of blood comes out of my body.

I had to have some testing done earlier in the year, so I had to get 2 viles of blood taken from me. Never. Again.

me too. im usually not that squirmish, but needles (shots) freak me the fuck out. its not that it hurts... i dont know. i start sweating and my heart rate goes way up.
