Jane Austen

As some of you may know, I just finished reading Pride and Prejudice last night. I really enjoyed it and was very sad it was over.

So I checked the free list of books for my kindle app and was able to download about 5 more of her books for freeeee. I've started on Northsomething Abbey.

Honestly I was surprised how much I like P&P since I don't often like classics. Hell, I could barely make it through the first paragraph of A Tale of Two Cities.. Anyone else notice that it was just one really big run on sentence?

Jane Austen is the shit, dude. LOVE her books. though some of the Darcy fapping that goes on is just frickin' scary as hell. you should see some of the crazies who worship the guy, i mean he was awesome, but he wasn't THAT awesome. also, there is a perfect Kate Beaton comic for this: http://www.harkavagrant.com/index.php?id=120

Exact opposite here. I think Dickens is a boss, but I can't stand Austen. We had to read Pride and Prejudice in my Brit Lit class, and I hated it.

Dickens is a boss, for reals. i just got finished watching Bleak House last night, which i never got around to reading for some reason. i am planning on checking it out of the library, since i liked it so much. the books are always waaaay better than the movies.

Tale of Two Cities was awesome, I love that book. I couldn't make it through Great Expectations though, that was awful

LMAO! Oh that was hilarious Heeblies. I loved Mr. Darcy, but I loved the book more, and obsession with him is kind of funny. He's almost like an Edward Cullen character, just enough depth to make him interesting, but I've read better. And yet, all the girls go wiiiild. o_O

Then again, I effing hate Edward Cullen. And that nasty guy who plays him in movies.

Wacco.... ew. Just ew. I got half a chapter in or so and was about ready to rip my eyeballs out. Awful, just awful.

....I don't think I've ever read Dickens. lol
