I like BC1 more than BC2 in some ways; you have to actually switch to your knife, and it takes more shots to kill people. But BC2 was better in other ways (like no auto-injector)

Never played BC1, but I've watched a few videos. Which brings me to my question... Why do all the assault rifles seem to have 50 round magazines? Is there an extended mags upgrade in BC1?

nope, its just a different way of doing things.

the SMGs had 60 rounds IIRC.

Blegh, that's a turn off for me. I like authenticity in "realistic" FPS games.

I gave this to my friend's cousin around 3 years ago... but God knows I should buy it again for nostalgia's sake. I loved the game because, while CoD took itself so seriously, Bad Company 1 was like the A-Team of FPS games. I really wish they had continued their crazy antics and misadventures instead of taking the straight road in BC2.

FYI, you can rent a copy of BC2 and install it to your harddrive, return the rental, then play it from your harddrive using your bad copy of BC2. I did this with Rock Band 2 a year or so ago when that game got scratched up bad.

I think its partly because the guns do so little damage
