Mumford & Sons & Rasputins

I picked up their album the other day. I have to say it's pretty good. It's also one of those cds you can listen to all the way through without feeling a need to skip any songs because they're all enjoyable. I love when that happens!

Now. Does anyone else have a place called Rasputin's in their area? I can't figure out if it's just a local thing or not. It should be a chain though. Or, well, it should be everywhere. Great place to get music and movies. And they have vinyl. The place is HUGE and has so many options. New, used, so on. Plus their prices are really good, and their staff is friendly and helpful.

(Also picked up a The Who cd and a Robin Williams Live on Broadway dvd because he makes me lol).

Hmmm for some reason I have never enjoyed Mumford and Sons. I just find other folky music to be better, but I can see why people like them. If you like them, you should definitely listen to this:

Never heard of Rasputin, but Seattle has loads of records stores around luckily. Lots of places to get cheap used CD's/Vinyl.

Ok Wacco, I finally listened to it! I was going to listen the other night, but my phone wouldn't recognize the video for some reason.

...I didn't like it. I didn't hate it, but it couldn't keep my attention. It wasn't bad or anything. Maybe I didn't not like. I was indifferent. It was good, but I don't think I could listen to it over and over again. I'll hit play one more time though, just for you.

Haha don't worry Sheep. I only think that bands alright too. I just know that a lot of my friends who like Mumford and Sons like The Head and the Heart, and personally I'd rather listen to them than Mumford and Sons. For real folk, I'd go for the Tallest Man on Earth.

Wacco, I'll see if I can find something of theirs on youtube. For me though its always about the band more then the genre. I may never hear another folku type band I like beyond Mumford & Sons lol.

I like the song little lion man...but honestly Mumford and sons is played way too much on the radio...any time Im in the car with my mom, one (or more lol) of their songs plays.


Maybe im bitter about it because in January I had to spend 2 weeks in a small cabin with a playlist of the "Top 10 songs of 2010" or something....and guess who was first second and third...

Ouch. Yeah, the radio tends to out play new stuff really bad. Its kind of a shame, because then everybody just ends up hating a lot of the new stuff coming out because they get burned out on them.

I actually haven't heard one Mumford & Sons song on the radio yet. But we have kind of craptastic radio stations here.
