My BC2 disc STILL isn't working :/

I had it taken to Hastings and put repaired, and I get a weird error, says "disc unreadable", or goes to a weird screen and freezes my 360. So I've thought of 3 things I mainly could do with it:

Keep it for nostalgia. I met a lot of people here through that game and have a few good memories with it. But then again, it wasn't really the disc that led me to people, it was GameFAQs.

Just throw it away OR

Take my shotgun to it, for all the fucking bullshit that happens in that game, to vent some frustration. The knife, every patch fixing, then breaking something. The awful servers at some point, the hit detection for everything, and last but not least...the dildo knife. I could record it and put on YouTube just for fun; maybe I'll have my friend Monkey put it in the skeet launcher and if it survives the toss, I have a perfect little "clay pigeon" to shoot. It's not going to work anymore anyways.

Keep it, is it a console problem maybe?

It gives me something about a "GAME/SPLASH" file or something sometimes. I think it's the disc though; it let me boot it up once, then told me it was unreadable. Wasn't there a console update though? Also, I have one of the newer, strange-looking 360s.

borrow a friends copy and itsall the working disk to HDD.

then use the inner ring on the busted disk to give the access key?

as far as i know, all you need for HDD play is the inner ring, as that is what holds the security key.

I have my disc installed to my hard-drive, I think, but I'm not 100% sure. I'll double-check that. I could have sworn I had it installed, but I may have deleted it when I thought I was done with the game. I'll check that later today. Thanks.

no problem. if i can get a Gears 1 disk off a friend ill do the same. the only friend who has it, was the guy i got it from lol.

my GOW dies at act 4 chapter 3. everything else is fine, its just that one little bit.

Well, if the HDD solution doesn't work, I vote sticking a knife in it, THEN shooting it. And recording both. It seems like a poetic and fitting end.

Alright, it seems as if double people voted for it. Whenever I get the chance to do it, I'll see if I can stab it with a durable knife (I'll test on a blank CD or something kinda gently to make sure I won't slip/stab myself). I think I should "WANT SOME OF THIS?!" to the disc if I do it. xD

Use battlefield sound effects.

I probably could find a soundboard or something somewhere xD Either that, or there's plenty of videos.

I wouldnt recommend putting a detached inner ring in your xbox. it might detach and fly around in there.

Hmm? No, it's still fine, as of now, it's just not reading at all.

i meant the inner ring with the disk still intact.

since it wont use the disk, the disk doesnt need to be working fully, only the inner ring does.
