Thought I would bring this to light. I just find trying to introduce new games to kids EXTREMELY difficult. Not saying BF3, or anything specific. Just anything other than CoD kids just refuse to play. Im not surprised, but still.... Its annoying.

Well, some people just like the game better than others just like some of you guys would sit there and play battlefield all day and refuse to play Call of Duty. No point in getting annoyed by it because everyone has their game weather its a Call of Duty game or a Battlefield game. Not to mention most the kids on the call of duty game play it because its a game where you can pick up and play fairly easy.

Its not that.... Its just funny to me that some people refuse to differ on what they play. Especially for games like portal. Its just weird to think that theres soo many games out there, with so much variation and potential, and some people stick to absolutely one game at all times.

i dont really care, it doesnt affect me that much.

if people enjoy playing COD its not a big deal, il just play BF and enjoy myself with what i like. liking COD isnt a bad thing, but liking COD (or any game for that matter) exclusively is not good.

ive played the COD demos on XBL, and i did enjoy them, but im not a fan of the multiplayer and so im not sold on the series.

It's because a lot of these kids don't actually enjoy CoD, they just play it since all the "cool kids" are. Just watch, when BF3 takes down CoD, all the kiddies will migrate to the BF franchise.

This kind of stuff wouldn't bother me too much, if it weren't for 1) the fact that kids at school love to talk nonstop about how AMAZING a game Black Ops is, and
2) that there are far better games than Black Ops and it's ilk that struggle because they aren't cool to play.

It's not that I don't dislike that people like CoD, it's that I dislike the fact that it's the only game they'll play.

For me, I just occasionally play CoD, and am mostly the one who has to tell the nerds that sat in front of me in my math class that they are noobs and need to shut up and try to pay attention so I don't have to explain the whole lesson to them five times over because they don't have lives outside of one game.

If you put a new game in front of me and tell me the controls, I will try it, but if it is too ridiculous and too annoying, I will probably throw the controller at you and ask you why you ever asked me to play, I don't know, Barbie Princess Rescue or whatever.

Honestly, it's one of my pet peeves. We don't see it as much "across the pond," but I can imagine that it must be annoying. Some children can be so... childish and closed minded. There are other games than CoD out there.

To be quite honest, I see a lot more people that play Call of Duty and other games, and a lot more Battlefield fanboys who put down everything else and only play Battlefield.
