I thought I'd share!
HOWEVER!! Apologies for the lack of image - it's pretty big, so before I post it can someone please tell me how to drop it into one of those 'spoiler'.....things.....so that it's not all massive unless you click it? Thanks in advance!
In the meantime, digital painting (and working in colour) is a very new thing for me, but I'm really enjoying it so far - I find it quite a liberating way to work as traditionally I'm a pencil/biro and paper kind of guy. I'm also not comfortable working on large canvases (most of my sketches are A5 or smaller), but this allows me to zoom out to make the canvas seem a more natural size - with the benefits of being able to zoom right in to add detail, or print the work large with no loss of resolution (if I ever decide to print anything).
This is something I did over a few hours this evening, and is the fifth piece I have now finished. We have this thing at work where every month a theme is picked, and anyone who wants to can submit any kind of creative response to it. I've been using this as an excuse to give myself deadlines for a piece of work a month - the theme for June is 'cowboys', but I thought the dinosaur was probably a good idea too
Each of these finished pieces is intended as a relatively quick work to help me familiarise with the tablet and just get some practice in. I've got some other stuff in the pipeline which I'm spending a lot more time on, and will be a lot more detailed, but none of that is ready to show yet.
Any feedback would be great - constructive criticism gratefully recieved! Thanks!
EDIT: Thanks Symbolic! Pretty simple actually - probably should have spent 2mins checking things out before crying for help!
